Looks like a great event! Thanks to those who have planned it, But is it being planned by Belmont, rather than Mid-Wilshire people?
Just to clarify, this is an event that was initiated by myself and others active with United Adult Students. However, it should be known that THIS IS EVERYONE’S EVENT: every organization and individual that cares about protecting human rights in general, and the incredible institution that is Adult Ed in particular, is invited AND NEEDED to make it a success–FOR ALL OF US! If you’ve read this far, make sure you contact me to volunteer on Saturday… help promote our programs, provide information and services at booths, setup, security, or bring your own creative ideas to the mix. IT’S GONNA BE AWESOME!!!!
Finally, we’re planning a press conference at 1:00pm on Friday (at MacArthur Park on the northwest corner of Wilshire and Alvarado) to get the word out into the media about Saturday… please spread the word and be there if you can. DAN K.
