  1. I taugt an adult ed math class to an average class attendance eight short of the requirement. When told the class would be cancelled unless I recruited enough to make the minimum required, I asked my students to identify how many people they actually shared their learning with [peers, children, spouses, significant others]. Their responses brought the number of people benefiting from the class to almost double the minimum required. The class was closed anyway.
