Randy Bostic, of Topanga, an adult school counselor in L.A. Unified [EXCERPTS]:

“With the 2% of the L.A. Unified School District budget it uses, the adult division serves 37% of the students attending district schools. These students are clearly able to do more with less.

Adult education must continue to be fully funded.” [click here for full letter]

Elizabeth Griffin, of Culver City [EXCERPTS]:

“…Steve Lopez…narrowly frames the choice as funding either elementary and secondary education or adult education.

We would not think of pitting funding for elementary education against secondary; each has its distinct role. So, too, does adult education.” [click here for full letter]
