LATIMES: Adult Schools lament the loss…funeral instead of end-of-year party

Veteran journalist Hector Tobar, who previously wrote a moving account of how Adult Education has benefited his own family, now follows up with this story. Instead of celebrating the end of the year with a party, Adult Education community members choose to hold a funeral regarding drastic cuts made yet again this year.  To see the rest of this L.A. “‘We are being systematically eliminated,’ said Planaria Price, the teacher who invited me [Hector Tobar] to the June 16 event. She said she was being forced to retire after 40 ‘glorious’ years at the school.”
